Odessa’s catacombs

The history of Odessa’s catacombs has to do with the history of the South Palmira. 2500 km of underground labyrinths and galleries appeared due to production of the rock-shell, wisely used in manufacturing of the town.
The revolutionaries hid here, the rich people buried their treasures here, Odessa’s gangs divided the stolen goods here, and the heroic town-savers lost tons of blood here during the World War II. You can visit the catacombs by buying a ticket to the Museum of Partisan Glory or by ordering one of the tours.
